Say YES to cashless treatment through Bhamashah Swasthya Bima Yojana (BSBY)

Ever since the demonetization, we keep hearing about the perks of a cashless economy. Now, more and more people are opting for cashless ways of payments rather than cash payments, and why not it is way easier to make cashless payments and it is also good for our financial system.

However, the government of Rajasthan thought of moving to a cashless economy way before. Bhamashah Swasthya Bima Yojana (BSBY), a cashless way of medical treatment, a scheme that came into existence in 2015 and is doing a commendable job ever since.

The major objective of this scheme is to provide good quality medical facilities to the poor and currently quite a huge amount of people are using the cashless benefits and healthcare service both from private and government hospitals.

Under this scheme, around 500 critical diseases, 1,045 common diseases and 70 other diseases will be covered. The medical benefits can be availed with the help of e-health cards and the cashless benefits will range from Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 3 lac, wherein amount of upto Rs. 30,000 can be availed for common diseases and upto Rs 3 lac for critical disease. Overall government will be paying a premium of Rs. 370 to the insurance company per family.

People can get good medical services with the help of Bhamashah Swasthya Bima Yojana, which was clearly not the case before. Cashless treatments have rather made it easier for poor people to get the health benefits without difficulty. All they need is their e-health card in case of emergencies. While we are taking small steps towards cashless economy, our government schemes are way ahead of us.
